Brenda McAleer, Ph.D., CM, is currently an Associate Professor of Business at the University of Maine at Augusta and the Program Coordinator for the Business Administration, Financial Services, and Applied Science degree programs. Dr. McAleer has been teaching undergraduate and graduate management and economics courses for 34 years and also conducts corporate and nonprofit management training and development. Her administrative experience includes serving as Director of Chapman University’s San Diego California campus of over 1,000 students and as Academic Dean of Strayer University’s Arlington VA campus with 1,100 students. She has also served as Executive Assistant to the U. S. Ambassador to Norway, and as coordinator of the worldwide Key Volunteer Network for the United States Marine Corps. She has taught in business programs in public and private colleges, at small and large schools, and in the U.S, Norway, and Japan.
Dr. McAleer earned her Ph.D. in Applied Management and Decision Sciences at Walden University in Minneapolis, MN. She earned her Master of Arts in Human Resource Management at Vermont College of Norwich University and her Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Business from St. Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Indiana. In 1996, Dr. McAleer earned the designation of Certified Professional Manager through the Institute of Certified Professional Managers.
